An incredibly exciting and dramatic 2024 E3 Saxo Classic has taken another turn on the historic Paterberg cobbles as Team Visma | Lease a Bike's Wout van Aert hits the deck.
Van Aert had been marking his main rival, Mathieu van der Poel so well all day but as he attempted to move up on the wet cobbles, his wheel slipped, leaving the Belgian superstar sprawling on the floor. With over 40km to go, it's not completely game over for van Aert but for sure, a comeback of almost miraculous proportions is now needed!
