The 2024
Vuelta a Espana is nearing a conclusion. Having survived nearly three full weeks of racing, the last thing the riders in the peloton need is an avoidable crash. Thankfully, they were just able to avoid disaster on stage 19.
Courtesy of fan footage uploaded to X, a loose dog can be seen running back and forth in the middle of the road as the peloton splits to avoid a potentially disastrous crash with the beast. As the official social media page of the 2024 Vuelta a Espana sensibly writes: "A reminder: PLEASE keep your dogs under control when visiting the race. For the riders' safety as well as theirs."
