VIDEO: Van Vleuten fumes at slow bike change in World Championship road race

Racing her final World Championships road race, Annemiek van Vleuten wanted to to give herself a final swansong. A mechanical issue and slow bike change however, was far from ideal.

With the race heating up as it entered the Glasgow city circuit, the legendary Dutchwoman was forced to drop out the back and pull to the side of the road. As the mechanic fumbled over the front wheel, van Vleuten was becoming more and more distressed before finally being able to get back on the bike and begin to chase down the front of the race.
