The temperatures were soaring hot today at the
Tour de France, with the race organizers creating a set of rules specifically for the day to keep the riders safe under such gruelling conditions. Under temperatures reaching as high as 40 degrees, many riders resorted to alternative ways to stay cool.
One of them being
Tom Pidcock, who decided after the stage to take a dive into a public fountain by the
INEOS Grenadiers bus. Other riders and teams had ice vests ready after the stage, in order to have similar effect.
