VIDEO: Primoz Roglic crashes in the yellow jersey and is checked for concussion

Stage 3 of Itzulia Basque Country was being relatively uneventful until 38 kilometers to go, as race leader Primoz Roglic and his yellow jersey hit the deck. Not a slight tumble, as the BORA - hansgrohe rider was checked for concussion.
The Slovenian seemed to be cleared of any major injury, but has lost significant time in the scene of the crash. Roglic and a few other riders seemingly crashed in a slight left-hand corner where the presence of a short sidewalk could've caused some riders to lose control of the bike.

Hope his crash wasn't too bad. Given his age, it would take him months to recover from major injuries.

- Yes ok, but then what were the exact details then, did he cross the line, did his team not ask the stewards committee if they thought it was an exceptional case? He got the time but not the ranking, not even the last ranking, which suggests it was looked at and decided but explain why you feel it wasn’t right? - The stories of Tadej were from his local races against older kids, not the same as international level, but as Maria says, at that level a 2 year difference as a teen is enormous, if then you go further and compare a slow and quick developer you’re stretching the physical maturity difference to 3 maybe 4 years.Mistermaumau12-04-2025
