A new video 'Sin Cadena' from Movistar Team shows how the team experienced the Criterium du Dauphiné individual time trial.
The video shows much more than what we can normally see in a time trial, which are usually the minutes (in this case around 40) that the leaders of the squads take to complete the course. In this case, what the Movistar network guys show us is all the work that a squad has to do to prepare and execute a race so different from a normal online stage.
Here we can see how the different workers of Movistar Team, from early in the morning, are preparing the different bikes. Very valuable testimonies of Juan Carlos Llamas (nutritionist), Juan Carlos Escámez (masseur), the mechanics and the Portuguese cyclist Nelson Oliveira. Half an hour of documentary talking about infrastructure and technique: pure and hard cycling.
Enric Mas ended up being one of the riders who suffered the most on the day, losing in the end 2:48 minutes on Jonas Vingegaard, including 20 seconds which have been taken away from him due to slipstreaming benefits he was seen to have throughout the day.
