The Danish rider, Mikkel Bjerg is the new leader of the Critérium du Dauphiné after the stage 4 individual time trial. He is 12 seconds ahead of Jonas Vingegaard, who in turn is, by far, the best-placed of the favourites in the general classification.
Behind, Adam Yates did well, who is 45 seconds behind the Jumbo-Visma rider and Daniel Martínez, who remains in the general standings for less than a minute. The two Spaniards with the most options have had worse luck and they came with great enthusiasm to this race in Delfinado. Mikel Landa and Enric Mas have sunk in the classification after the race against the clock.
Enric is in the general in position number 44, 2 minutes and 28 seconds behind Vingegaard. Somewhat behind is Mikel Landa, 9 seconds worse than the Majorcan from Movistar Team. The one from Bahrain Victorious sits disappointingly in the general classification, 2:49 behind the leader and 2:·37 behind the Jumbo-Visma leader.
