The final stage of the Volta a Catalunya saw the riders climb up the steep Alto de Montjuic several times, and whilst some riders were battling up for every second in the head of the race; Alpecin-Deceuninck's Henri Uhlig was turning heads with his one-handed wheelie up the steep climb.
The German rider saw large crowds cheer him up the climb as he impressed with his bike skills, the climb reached gradients of 15% but that didn't stop Uhlig from popping a wheelie up it, and a considerable one in fact.
After the video was shared on social media Uhlig himself shared the power data from his wheelie which reveals it was almost 3 minutes long and averaged 386 watts whilst doing it - numbers that even an amateur cyclist would struggle to achieve in regular conditions.
For all the "Data Nerds"🤓 Wheelie was nearly 3min long and needed to push a lot. Yes it hurt but it was totally worth it with all the spectators going crazy🥳🥳🥳. Thanks everyone who cheered me up the hill🙌
