VIDEO | 'Butt first into the mud' - Equipo Kern Pharma's Francisco Galván crashes and then tumbles as team DS tries to save situation

Le Samyn was a rough day this week for many riders, who had to endure with narrow roads, wet cobbled sectors and plenty crashes. One of those affected was Equipo Kern Pharma's Francisco Galván who crashed, and then fell again as his DS pulled the bike away from the disoriented rider.

The crash took place not too far from the finish, and Galván - leader of the Spanish team - was left next to a ditch. As his DS picked up the bike, Galván who was still coming back to his senses after the fall, tumbled once again into the mud. Luckily a race steward helped him get back to his feet quickly.

Despite this fall and the difficulties the 26-year old seemed to be after it, he still continued the race in adverse conditions and went on to finish 51st. Later in the day the team shared pictures on social media of the two in good spirits with the caption 'no hard feelings'.
