Van Vleuten happy with the Movistar team time trial as La Vuelta Femenina opens: "It went very well for us"

Today in Torrevieja, Alicante, La Vuelta Femenina started. The Movistar Team finished fourth, 14 seconds behind the winning team, Jumbo Visma in the opening team time-trial. After the stage, the defending champion Annemiek van Vleuten described the performance of her squad as very positive:

"I'm very surprised with this TTT, it went very well for us, we lost 14 seconds with Jumbo. We lost runners very early and that's sad, but considering that and that we had to wait a bit we didn't lose much time, so we have to be proud of the TTT. I think there is a lot of potential in this team and hopefully there will be another one at the Giro, I think we can win one with this team."
