After weeks of build-up and rumours on what the format and participants of the upcoming Tour de France series would be like, the race organizers have today officially announced details on the show.

The series, which should be similar to F1's 'Drive to Survive' and will be filmed by the same producers in Box to Box films alongside Quad, is set to be filmed between March and July of 2022 and tell the story of eight teams at cycling's most popular event and their preparation towards it. Ever since rumours had emerged, several teams had confirmed their presence whilst others justified their absence from the project such as the defending champion's team UAE Team Emirates.

It has been confirmed that the eight teams to be present on the series will be: AG2R Citroën Team, Alpecin-Fenix, BORA - hansgrohe, EF Education - EasyPost, Groupama - FDJ, INEOS Grenadiers, Jumbo-Visma and Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team.

The series does not yet have a premiere date but the information given out is that it will come in the first half of 2023, it will feature eight 45-minute long episodes.
