Chris Froome has shared his thoughts on current form whilst on a recent training camp. The four-time Tour de France winner has had a tough winter with delays to his training after an injury sustained over January, but is on his way back to good form.
Chris Froome has released a video a video on his Youtube channel where he has once again talked about his current preparation. He has recently finished a training camp in Gran Canaria together with Israel - Premier Tech teammate Mason Hollyman, and after a knee injury that has delayed his start of the season, he returned to competition last week at the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali. The Briton has struggled to get results since joining Israel last season, but is encouraged by the recent evolution in his power numbers as he says in the video.
"It's all going really well actually, I'm feeling like the legs are turning well, certainly starting to see some progressions on last year's numbers which is really encouraging. That's what I was hoping to get out of this camp, good to be here getting the work in. Hopefully it pays dividends in the months to come," Froome said.
He's struggled through the Italian stage-race, finishing in 86th spot in the overall classification, and will be returning to racing at the Tour of Turkey in the coming weeks where he'll hope to take part in the fight for the GC. He is eyeing a spot at the Tour de France team later this summer.
