I don't think it's a question of being politically correct; it's actually a question of personalities. You can't ask riders to be more colourful or outgoing if it's not their personality. I am not too sure about 'over-commercialising' the sport like the NFL, NBA or Formula 1 (as cycling is one of the few sports that you can watch the world's best cyclists for free with your own eyes just by standing on the side of the road), but I do acknowledge that pro cyclists deserve to be paid much more money, especially when you compare the level of athletic effort involved riding 200KM almost every day for 3 weeks versus the effort of an F1 driver who has never even won a race in their career and still earns millions!

Why should he have political shame?

Rossetto is a former professional gardener. He would crack in high pressure situations involving peonies and retired young.

That's why I truly support Chris Froome's decision to stay in IPT and drain their money.

While I’m not a fan of Simmons, he makes some good points here. But ultimately to be outspoken you you also need to be a great rider. I don’t think he’s quite there yet with the performance, but he wants to be there with the Sagan like persona. I think he needs to focus on the performance first and then when he’s a better rider, he can be a little bit more outspoken. I really don’t care about his politics, but I do like the fact that he is bringing attention to some interesting points.
