Kasia Niewiadoma will look back with satisfaction on her Tour de France Femmes. The Polish rider finished ninth in the final time trial, which ensured that she finished third in the general classification.
Niewiadoma lost her second place on the last day to Lotte Kopecky, who finished third in the time trial. The two finished with the same time in the final classification, but her Belgian competitor did a few tenths better. In addition, the Canyon SRAM rider won the mountains classification.
"This was the time trial of my life. It was extremely hard. In recent weeks I have focused on time trial, which has now had its effect. I have been able to do many different training sessions and my position has also been a working point," Niewiadoma told Sporza afterwards. "I am now especially looking forward to celebrating this with my team."
