Bas Tietema and Rob Harmeling can finally start working as sports directors in 2024. Last week, Tietema, who retired as a cyclist in 2023, showed his followers via social media what the training week to become a sports director looks like. For this purpose, the would-be leaders of
TDT-Unibet had to travel to the
UCI center in Aigle.
"Last week we traveled to Aigle to complete the sport directors training, which is required from the ProContinental level. After five days of sitting in a classroom from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., we were allowed to take the big final exam. All with success and so we, as sport directors, can already prepare for the 2024 cycling season," says Tietema.
