Taco van der Hoorn makes a grand return to racing after more than a year of absence

Great news from Intermarché - Wanty: Taco van der Hoorn will return to racing on Thursday after sixteen months of absence. Thursday's Tour of Leuven will be a special milestone in Dutchman's return to the professional peloton.

Van der Hoorn suffered a severe concussion in a fall at the 2023 Tour of Flanders and had to deal with the consequences for a long time, but will finally be able to race again in the Tour of Leuven. "Hello people, I have very good news: I'm back," he cheers on his team's socials,

Taco van der Hoorn already made an appearance on Tuesday's kermesse Heusden Koers, where he arrived 16th in a competition where several pros such as Gianluca Pollefliet and Dries De Bondt (both Decathlon AG2R) or Van der Hoorn's Intermarché teammate Laurenz Rex made an appearnace. The victory after 170 kilometers of full gas racing went to ex-pro Elias Van Breussegem.
