"t was such an incredible day!" - Peter Sagan reflects on E-MTB World championships

The E-MTB World Championships had the presence of a big name in cycling this year in Peter Sagan, as he took to the off-road to compete for an under-the-radar event where he had good feedback from.

"It was such an incredible day! I enjoyed it a lot and I am sure I will be back. Thanks to Specialized, Ride100Percent, and Sportful for their support and to Jean-René for letting me race here," the Slovakian said in a social media post. "Congratulations to all the competitors on the trails today for making it a nice and exciting race".

Whilst the race was won by France's Jerome Gilloux, Sagan came home in 16th place, 5:25 minutes down on the winner. As a race in which his role in Specialized heavily influenced, it served for further brand exposure in an event which was won by Gilloux last year aswell.

Now with his focus back on the road, Sagan is scheduled to return to competition this weekend at the Bretagne Classic, before tackling the Canadian hilly classics - in which he's thrived in the past - and several other one-day races towards the World championships.
