The Women's race of Strade Bianche had a special guest, a horse appeared on the road while Demi Vollering escaped during the last part of the race. The SD Worx rider was surprised by a horse that was running along the road and even kept up with Vollering for some time.
The last footage we had from the horse was when he fell on the road and some concerns about the health of the race soon appeared. It was one of the highlights of the weekend.
Fortunately, we now know that everything is fine with the horse, the owner of the horse made a statement on his Facebook revealing that, "Zlatana is fine, sorry for her break-in at the Strade Bianche. A few days of antibiotics, a lot of fear, but in the end, everything ended well".
We can expect to see Zlatana's daring break-in in a lot of highlights of the cycling from this year, as it was one of the moments to remember.
