" I want to see what my limits are"- David Gaudu looks forward for Paris-Nice amongst reassurance of a "healthy and stable" relationship with Démare

It was not far ago since some Discord comments where David Gaudu criticized his teammate Arnaud ´Démare was leaked on the internet and a public controversy arose due to that.

So it was with a bit of surprise that we saw both Gaudu and Démare on the same squad for Paris-Nice, however, Gaudu states that the problems between the two are a thing of the past. "As soon as the controversy came out, the team did what was necessary and managed the crisis situation very well. We met quite quickly I apologized and he understood. We can now describe our relationship as healthy and stable. We have to join forces on this Paris-Nice, it is on the right track", said Gaudu at the pre-race press conference.

In terms of general classification ambitions, David Gaudu knows that with the presence of Tadej Pogačar and Jonas Vingegaard, it will be very difficult to get the overall win of the race. Still the Groupama-FDJ leader is excited about testing his limits against them and believes in his skills to do a good result

"I want to see if I can beat Pogacar and Vingegaard. I want to see if I can do it but here are not only them, there are a lot of contenders for the general classification, Martinez, Bardet, Skjelmose, Powless… Pogacar and Vingegaard? I want to see what my limits are. Maybe I won't be able to confront them or tease them, but I want to see if I can do it.", stated the Frenchman.
