Sonny Colbrelli: "I consider myself happy, very happy"

Sonny Colbrelli is still in a recovery program after his cardiac arrest after the finale of the opening stage of the Volta a Catalunya, and he is giving further information on how he feels regarding the subject which has been crucial on his career and life.

In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, the European champion has said: "I don't feel like an ex-rider. There will come a time when we will make all the evaluations and then we will decide. But I am ready for a new adventure."

Although there is no confirmation, Colbrelli seemingly has the motivation to take another step in his professional career. Whether it will happen or not, he has admitted that he has found gratefulness and a new view on life.

"I consider myself happy, very happy. In the beginning I was angry with the whole world. 'Why me?' I wondered. But gradually I looked at the other side of the coin. I was still alive, I'm fine and I enjoy every moment with my children," he concluded.
