It hasn't been a good Tour de France for South Americans with only Egan Bernal and Harold Tejada left in the mix for GC. Rigoberto Urán confirmed that his goal for the race was originally to hunt stages which has become a shared objective across whole team with their leader Richard Carapaz's early departure after first stage.
"I am sincere, by order of the team, and because I am an employee, I must respect the orders. They told me that we are going to look for stages and I have to get accustomed to it," he revealed to ESPN prior to the third stage.
"We will see how I adjust to being a stage hunter and forget about the general. At 36 years old, things changed for me," the Colombian was honest.
