Remco Evenepoel reveals where he will debut rainbow jersey

Remco Evenepoel has worked hard to complete his best season up to date in an impressive way by every standard, and after succeeding in the World Championships, he will be riding his new jersey for the first time at Binche - Chimay - Binche.

Evenepoel is said to be unlikely to ride Il Lombardia, and was planning on ending his season at the World Championships. Due to his win however, both he and the team mutually agree on displaying the jersey still in the 2022 season, and Evenepoel will do so close to home on the Belgian semi-classic on the 4th of October.

A classic frequently won by sprinters of pure cobbled classics specialists, it won't be a very favourable terrain for him, however it will be an appointment that will mean more to him than a result.
