Red Bull to become BORA - hansgrohe's name sponsor ahead of Tour de France

In recent months Red Bull has bought 51% of the stake in the company that owns BORA - hansgrohe and as soon as June they will become a title sponsor for the German team.

This is reported by Cyclingnews and Gazzetta dello Sport. As happens occasionally, such as the great example of Lidl-Trek. Lidl, the supermarket giant became a title sponsor for the team ahead of the Tour de France last season and what followed was a significant budget increase. The same could happen with BORA - hansgrohe.

Red Bull currently sponsors individual athletes in the world of cycling, this includes BORA's Anton Palzer. However most likely the sports drink company will become the head sponsor of the team in the coming months, with a new jersey on the way as well. An expected move taking into consideration the team's deep connections with Germany and Austria - where the brand is also headquartered.
