The women's Tour Down Under will be the first World Tour event of the year and will mark what many will call the start to the 2023 women's road season. It is a race consisting of three stages in Australia, that promise to deliver a lot of spectacle from the 15th to 17th of January.

The race consists of three stages. The opening day will see a 110-kilometer stage from Glenelg to Aldinga that doesn't feature any major difficulty and should be for the sprinters. Stage 2 , from Birdwood to Uraidla will be the shortest stage, an explosive one, with the ascent of Mount Lofty (6.1Km; 3.2%) providing the opportunity for some attacks.

The queen stage will be the final day, from Adelaide to Campbelltown. 93 kilometers in distance and it will be a finale equal to that of the men's race. It is a mostly flat stage, but features the Corkscrew road (2.4Km; 9.1%) which will create serious gaps and likely define the overall classification, with a downhill finale following.
