PREVIEW | Tour of the Alps 2024 stage 1 - Is Geraint Thomas going to show strong form in key test ahead of Giro?

From April 15th to 19th, the Tour of the Alps takes center stage as the pivotal prelude to the Giro d'Italia. Over five intense days, cyclists will navigate through the picturesque Alps, with the imposing mountains always in view. Here, we take a closer look at Stage 1 of this prestigious race.
The first day of the race takes place in the flat valley roads, with a few ascents here and inbetween to split things up. No warming up, the peloton faces three climbs in only 133 kilometers where big gaps can already be created.
Andalo which is 15.5 kilometers at 5% early in the day to warm up, but then a double ascent to Penone which is 4.4 kilometers at 9.4%. These end with 44 and 17 kilometers to go before a finale in Cortina.

- I think you overestimate scientific knowledge and for sure the spreading of it. There are huge numbers of people in similar situations, if there were an easy solution somebody would be making big money out of it. Nerve pain can have many complex origins or be due to complex combinations of reasons. Even if you discover a reason there is not always a solution. Migraines haven’t been solved either. I have had lower back/hip nerve pains on and off for over 30 years, no kind of doctor has ever found a way to reduce, prevent or solve the problem. It may just be that some people are born with nerves that are too short or get twisted out of position during certain movements.Mistermaumau22-12-2024
