PREVIEW | GP du Morbihan 2023

Preview. On the 6th of May starts the Giro d'Italia, however that won't be the only racing on the day. Over the western border in France the peloton takes on an explosive classic through familiar roads, it's the Grand Prix de Morbihan which ends atop the Côte de Cadoudal.

The 189-kilometer race will be suited to the puncheurs and classics experts. In Bretagne you couldn't expect something easy, but instead an explosive race which should be quite exciting. The last two thirds of the race are constantly up and down, up the Côte de Cadoudal in Plumelec - which has been recently used in the Tour de France and European Championships. There will be six laps of an initial circuit with two ascents, but the final 40 kilometers see the peloton race another seven times, the final one coinciding with the finish.
