Pescara set to host 2023 Giro d'italia start

The 2023 Giro d'Italia is already in an advanced position when it comes to the scheduling, and reports point to a confirmation when it comes to the city which will host the Grande Partenza.

This will be the city of Pescara in the Abruzzo region. TuttoBiciWeb report that the agreement has already been confirmed , with the region hosting the opening stages of the Giro with several of it's cities hosting the finales for the opening days - L'Aquila and Chieti being two of them.

With this, the rumours of a foreign Grande Partenza can be put aside, with both Slovenia and Turkey as possibilities - now for the coming years aswell. The 2022 Giro d'Italia started in Hungary in Budapest in what many considered a very popular and exciting start to the race.
