Oscar Onley signs five-year contract with Team DSM

Oscar Onley, Tobias Lund Andresen and Lorenzo Milesi have all signed professional contracts with Team DSM after successful spells within the developmental squad.

20-year-old Scottish rider Onley has seen his star rise recently after impressive rides, most notably at the CRO Race. Having been given a 5-year contract by Team DSM he's viewed by those behind the scenes as a potential star of the future. "I’m really excited to be stepping up to the WorldTour with Team DSM next year." Onley said. "I’ve learnt so much on and off the bike in the past two years with the Development program and I’m looking forward to building on this in the coming years."

Tobias Lund Andresen was in the developmental set-up at DSM for 2 years and Lorenzo Milesi joined in 2022 and impressed, including winning a stage at the Tour de l'Avenir. On the trio, DSM's head coach Rudi Kemna was full of praise, singling out Onley for special mention. "We’ve seen this come to fruition this year with some good support riding and very impressive performances when he has been the team’s finisher, especially in the latter part of the year."

Continuing, Kemna said, "It’s also important to remember that Oscar is still young, so we want to take the time for him to grow as an athlete and person in a natural way as he makes the step up to WorldTour level with our Men’s program," as Team DSM bring their tally of riders for 2023 to the UCI maximum of 30.
