One less rider at the highest level for Colombia as Andres Ardila terminates his contract at Burgos BH

Andrés Camilo Ardila stood out for his excellent qualities during the U23 Giro d'Italia in 2019, he was the champion and showed that he could go far. For now, he terminates his contract with Burgos BH.

The rider born in 1999, gained direct access to the World Tour after winning the U23 Giro, UAE Team Emirates set their sights on him and brought him into their ranks with a contract for three seasons, however, in 2020 the pandemic arrived. and did not have much participation due to this situation. Subsequently, the results in 2021 and 2022 were very far from expectations.

Burgos-BH opened the doors for the current season (2023) and after the Colombian's last participation with the Spanish squad, they decided to terminate the contract. The abandonment in the Vuelta a Portugal would have been the final point for the Colombian's contract by the Burgos squad.

The winter that is approaching in Colombian lands is increasing with respect to top-level cyclists, those who painted for great things have not been able to confirm their qualities on the road and little by little they are left with few options to continue, at least in Europe.
