Movistar rider Jorge Arcas has reported on social media that he was hit by a car from the Tour de Suisse organization during the fourth stage of the race from Rüschlikon and Gotthard Pass, held this Wednesday.
Thus, the rider explained that "if we already have enough tension in the race, today the only thing missing was that a car from the Tour de Suisse organization took me by. Not a single apology to me from them, thank you."
Jorge Arcas called for race safety. "Everyone has to be careful in the race, not just the riders." After the important incident, the 31-year-old cyclist finished the stage 14:19 behind the stage winner, Torstein Traeen.
