Milan Menten after Le Samyn victory - "I can hardly believe it, It seems like a dream"

Lotto Dstny rider Milan Menten took his first victory of the season as he crossed the finish line first against his rivals at Le Samyn.

“I can hardly believe it,” he said in the post-race interview. At the beginning of the race, he did not anticipate winning, and he acknowledges that it came as a surprise. “I came back sick from the Ruta del Sol and had to fit in for the Opening Weekend.In short, I was at the start with a lot of question marks. That I manage to win here… It seems like a dream.”

He further adds, “I kept my cool the whole game. The team told me to wait until the sprint. My teammates made the race hard and that was the ideal scenario for me. Because of Victor Campenaerts ' executioner work I sat in a chair. Moreover, such a finish suits me very well, especially after a tough race.”

Arnaud De Lie is a major driving force behind his motivation, and he hopes to keep up with him while providing assistance and encouragement in the future. “The team is a big group of friends.
