Demi Vollering won't start at Tour de Romandie Féminin due to a sudden illness

FDJ - SUEZ star Demi Vollering will not appear at the start of Tour de Romandie Féminin this Friday. The Dutch rider was seen riding outside on her partner's social media on Tuesday, but one day later she became unwell and her team made the decision to have Vollering skip the three-day race in Switzerland where Vollering resides.

Last year's edition has seen then SD Worx - Protime teammates Demi Vollering and Lotte Kopecky come out on top of the GC battle. Ultimately, it was the Belgian who secured overall triumph in the race's third edition. With both ladies absent this year, an opportunity opens up to find a new champion.
