Omar Fraile has signed with INEOS Grenadiers in 2022 and having taken a very important win recently at the Vuelta a Andalucia, the Basque rider takes great ambitions towards the rest of the season, specially with a home start at the Tour de France.
"Sunday's victory could be that moment that will change everything. I celebrated with rage," Fraile told Marca. "It's a key year for me, especially for the Tour. I think I have chances because the team is happy with the way I react."
Fraile won the final stage of the Vuelta a Andalucia, with a punchy sprint where he showed his best legs. Fraile will hope to be in the team's lineup for the Tour de France where he may race on home roads with two suiting opening stages.
A stage winner in 2018, Fraile could be dreaming of a repeat. "Now, I want to rest to think about Paris-Nice later. It's a race that I like, in which I have always been good," he concluded. This next week the Basque will be in action in France where he will race alongside Daniel Martínez who will have a leading role at the Tour.
