The 14th stage of the Vuelta a Espana saw a short but explosive stage with a finale atop Sierra de la Pandera, where serious gaps were created as Remco Evenepoel struggled and Primoz Roglic made a bit for the red jersey. Richard Carapaz took the stage win, his second after joining a successful breakaway.
The medical report includes one rider who has crashed today:
43 - Sergio Higuita. Contusion in right elbow and road rash. Remained in race.
As for the fines, they were attributed to the following on stage 14:
Burgos-BH DS David Cantera: Not wearing competition clothing during refuelling on the road. 200CHF.
