A pro since the summer of 2020, Mauri Vansevenant proved himself in stage races on a number of occasions since then, taking a total of six top-ten placings. The most impressive of these came at the beginning of this season, when he powered to victory on the steep slopes of the famous Green Mountain en route to a solid runner-up spot at the Tour of Oman.
"Signing for three more years is a sign of the trust the team has in me. I have been able to develop myself really well in this amazing squad and I hope to keep on doing that. My goals for the future are simple: I want to keep growing, keep working and keep performing."
"I have some beautiful memories from these previous years and rode some nice races, such as Monuments and Grand Tours, and this has helped me develop. The vibe in the team is fantastic, which means a lot, because it makes me happy being in this environment," said Mauri.
Patrick Lefevere, CEO of Soudal Quick-Step, is equally happy to see Mauri stay: "In the three years with the team, Mauri has grown a lot. He has delivered some beautiful victories, but he impressed also with the effort he put in for the team whenever needed. Mauri is always working hard, his style on the bike being one of his most known features. We are delighted that he will stay with us for the next three years."
