Matej Mohoric and Fred Wright lead the charge for Bahrain - Victorious at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne

Bahrain - Victorious head into the Opening Weekend with an ambitious lineup. Matej Mohoric has already displayed good form by winning at the Volta a Comunitat Valenciana and will be leading the charge for a prestigious victory.
The Slovenian has been putting on very strong results over the past 12 months and whilst the endurance-driven challenge later in the spring suit him better, both Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne present opportunities to take a strong win at the beginning of the cobbled classics campaign.

He is supported by Fred Wright and Andrea Pasqualon who both pack a strong sprint but have the quality to race up the cobbled climbs close to the front.
The team also sees the presence of an Eastern European block in Fran Miholjevic, Matevz Govekar, Kamil Gradek and Dusan Rajovic. The latter will not race Kuurne and will be replaced by Alberto Brutomesso.

- Obviously something should be done because this way, all that will happen is what FCB does in Germany, buy off all the other teams good or dangerous players to keep in control. There could be a budget cap, a salary tree where 2nd best rider cannot earn more than x% of leader and next best only y% of 2nd best etc. so no team can offer salaries so interesting that top riders want to concentrate, or a budget surplus penalty where a team spending more than the allowed limit has to donate double or triple that amount to be shared among all but the top 5 (example) team budgets.
