Markel Beloki, Joseba Beloki's son, will ride for the next 3 seasons with EF Education-EasyPost

As reported in the Gazzetta dello Sport, Markel Beloki, the son of three-time Tour de France podium finisher Joseba Beloki, has reached an agreement to ride for EF Education-EasyPost for the next three seasons.

The 18-year-old will thus make the leap directly from junior to WorldTour. At 18, he is the current runner-up in the Spanish Junior Championship and will race the next World Championship in that category. This season he has won the Memorial Chely Álvarez, finished fourth in the Vuelta al Besaya, third in the Bizkaiko Itzulia (+1 stage) and seventh in the Vuelta a la Comunidad de Madrid. The young rider made the preseason last winter with Movistar Team, but finally he has been overtaken by the American EF team, where he will ride for the next 3 years.
