Purpose of prolongation of Mark Cavendish's cycling career is rapidly approaching with Grande Départ scheduled in six weeks from now. At Tour de France, the Manxman will hunting the ghost of Eddie Merckx, the mythical record-breaking 35th Tour de France stage victory.
In his preparation for the three weeks of full-gas racing in France (and Italy), the 38-year-old is currently at a training camp in Sierra Nevada. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Astana Qazaqstan rider has also added Tour de Suisse to his schedule, presumably to further hone his climbing skills - something that will come in handy at the extremely mountainous edition of the French grand tour.

As long as it’s all fair, why even report riders feelings about such stuff (yes I know, lack of other news).
