team SD Worx have used their collective power once again to take a very strong win, as they managed to create an ideal race situation and took Lotte Kopecky into the win at the women's Tour des Flandres.
With 35 kilometers the firs serious move went as a large group containing some outsider went away from the peloton. Despite an attacked racing, it was a constant to see Lotte Kopecky in Annemiek van Vleuten's wheel, blocking several moves by the Dutch veteran.
At the Oude Kwaremont, van Vleuten made a move which managed to bridge across to most of the attacking group, whilst Reusser and Chapman resisted out front. At the Paterberg they were caught, with Reusser resisting another move that came from behind with van Vleuten and Kopecky.
Some tactical racing took place afterwards as SD Worx played with their strenght in numbers, and after van den Broek-Blaak attacked she soon saw the shade of the duo once again who came from behind. The three riders then went to the finish as SD Worx worked for Kopecky's chances in the sprint, and it was a similar finale to Strade Bianche's where the Belgian champion managed to take the win over van Vleuten in the sprint.
Having the superior peak power, Kopecky sprinted to the win on home territory towards the biggest win of her career, with van Vleuten and van den Broeck-Blaak wrapping up the podium.
