Lorena Wiebes has taken a thrilling victory at Ronde van Drenthe on the latest stop off for the Women's World Tour this Sunday afternoon.
With Valerie Demey taking to the breakaway for much of the day, the racing didn't truly begin until the final couple of laps. When the big names did come to the fore though, excitement ensued. With 10km to go, an elite group of just 14 riders were in the front group.
In the finale, Team SD Worx-Protime's sprint star, Lorena Wiebes powered to victory ahead of Elisa Balsamo and Puck Pieterse.
