Team SD Worx have finally opened their win tally in 2022 at the Bloeizone Fryslân Tour where the second stage saw a bunch sprint being won by Dutch Lonneke Huneken. There were small splits at the finale of the stage, but race leader Ellen Van Dijk finished eighth and remains at the head of the overall classification.
The race was brought to a bunch sprint in Bakkeveen after 135 kilometer of pan-flat roads, where Chloe Hosking of Trek-Segafredo was the first to launch the dash for the line, but seemingly too early as in the final meters she couldn't keep the speed and Huneken managed to just barely beat her to the line. Alice Barnes sprinted to third spot on the line.
