Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team's Jelte Krijnsen has taken victory at Druivenkoers - Overijse 2024 after a frantic finale in Overijse.
Nine riders were clear of the peloton heading into the second half of the race, including some very notable names such as Axel Zingle, Hugo Hofstetter, Jenthe Biermans, Giacomo Nizzolo and Gianni Vermeersch. With 50km still to go however, their advantage was already under a minute. Despit a Vermeersch attack, the group were still together in the final 25km, just over a minute clear of the peloton now.
With 10km to go, six riders remained at the front and seemingly were set to fight it out for the win. In the end, it was Jelte Krijnsen who took the win ahead of Matis Louvel and Biermans in third.
