Is there a faster sprinter in the peloton today than
Jasper Philipsen? On the basis of the first two sprints at the 2023
Tour de France, the answer to that question would be no. As a reward for his brilliant form, it seems a new contract is in the offing.
According to a report by Het Laatste Nieuws, the reasons for celebration continue to come for the 25-year-old Belgian sprinter. Philipsen is set to extend his
Alpecin-Deceuninck contract that had been set to expire at the end of 2024. Although the exact length isn't yet known, it is predicted to be a pretty lengthy deal, perhaps similar to the one signed by Puck Pieterse recently, extending her deal until 2027.
