"It's just a rumor, it's not the truth" - Israel - Premier Tech dismiss Nairo Quintana rumours, mystery expands

2023 is coming in very quickly and no official contract announcement has been revealed with Nairo Quintana. The mystery keeps developing as virtually all teams who are connected to him claim that is not the case, and Israel - Premier Tech is another one to add to the list.

"It's just a rumor, it's not the truth. The best thing is not to exaggerate this rumor," team manager Kjell Calstrom said. Quintana has announced already several weeks ago to have signed for a team and that he will be aiming at the Grand Tours. When asked with whom he will race for however, he claimed it was the team's responsibility to announce it.

Several names emerged as big contenders such as Bahrain - Victorious, EF Education-EasyPost and Astana Qazaqstan Team, however all have seen representatives deny contacts. Spanish journalist Nieves Moya reported some days ago that the Colombian was very close to signing with Israel - Premier Tech, but seemingly that transfer is also off the table.

Following his positive test on tramadol during the Tour de France, Arkéa Samsic broke the contract extension of three years that was set for the 32-year old. The situation seemed dark, but his words indicated that a position had been secured. However, as weeks go by, the lack of communication begins to raise further questions.
