The INEOS Grenadiers team seem to be in utter chaos at the moment. After the last minute decision from upper management to not select Tom Pidcock for Il Lombardia, rumours have abound of unhappy riders, confused sports directors and even talk of transfers.
One such rumour that came along in the aftermath was that former world champion Michal Kwiatkowski would be joining Pidcock in a move from the INEOS Grenadiers to the ambitious, Swiss continental team, Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team.
This rumour gained traction over the last day or so, following a new assessment from Gazzetta dello Sport's Ciro Scognamiglio. Scognamiglio has written this past evening that not only is the team still a strong option for a transfer, but that this could also include his coach Kurt Bogaerts away from INEOS; but also Michal Kwiatkowski who's been in the team since 2016 and is one of the most stable riders. This would give a proper strong classics duo, but would significantly hamper INEOS core squad, if it was to happen.
Clearly taking note of his name being used in such speculation however, Kwiatkowski has taken to his social media pages, and in response, posted the iconic "I'm not fucking leaving!" GIF of Leonardo Di Caprio from the Wolf of Wall Street. A strong message from the Pole and one that surely shuts down rumours of his imminent departure.
