"I'll be back" - Primoz Roglic's post-operation message

Primoz Roglic is not an unfamiliar rider when it comes to crashes and injuries, and this week he has undergone a surgery that will help him prevent dislocating his right shoulder, something which has happened on multiple occasions for the Jumbo-Visma rider.

In a message shared recently, Roglic said that “I have now reached a limit. It needs to be resolved so that I can come back even stronger and prepare for new challenges in the upcoming season," and revealed to be undergoing a surgery to prevent his shoulder from dislocating as often as it does.

This has, most noticeably, happened during the fifth stage of the Tour de France when he crashed into a bale of hay. He fixed it on the spot, but eventually the crash brought down his ambitions at the Tour de France.

In a video shared on social media last night, the Slovenian assured the surgery went well. He is expected to stay between six to eight weeks off the bike, but that shouldn't however hamper his preparation towards the 2023 season. "Surgery went well, recovering, hope to see you soon on the road... I'll be back," he said.
