According to L'Équipe TotalEnergies will become a sponsor for the British team already during the upcoming
Tour de France, although most likely only in a minor role. However, as was the case with Red Bull and the BORA team recently, it could open way for a title sponsorship in the exact same way.
Besides the signing of Axel Laurance, this week it has been reported that the team would be
close to signing Dorian Godon - this could indicate a focus in bringing in French riders to the team in order to have a bigger appeal towards the French sponsor.
It is no longer a rumour but instead confirmed news, as announced by the British team itself in a
social media post. "We’re delighted to announce a major new jersey partnership with leading global integrated energy company, TotalEnergies" the team wrote. Whilst it is not possible to see details on what should be a new jersey, this should soon be revealed ahead of the Grand Boucle.
