"I would have liked to do a bit better" - Bruno Armiral close to a top 5 in Dauphine time trial

Former French champion against the clock Bruno Armiral had a good result in mind for Critérium du Dauphiné time trial and in that regard, the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale rider can look back at his eighth place with certain level of satisfaction in a press release by his team.

"I was aiming for a top 5, I'm only 6 seconds down, it's not too bad. I would have liked to do a bit better, especially after being so close to victory on Monday," Armirail remembers the second stage in which he came only hundreds of meters short of upset stage win.

What didn't work out on Monday might happen in the remainder of Dauphiné, is what Armirail thinks as he makes a promise to be back on the offensive again in upcoming stages: "The legs are good, let's try to score some good results before the end of the week."
