"I can't believe it": Even Magnus Cort Nielsen is shocked by his daring victory in Stage 3 of Volta ao Algarve

Magnus Cort Nielsen did another incredible victory in Volta ao Algarve, this time in the flat terrain of stage 3. The EF Education-EasyPost rider managed to form a late stage breakaway with important riders like Filippo Ganna and Tobias Foss great for the flat terrain that managed to grant him another surprising stage victory.
"I can't believe it, after that intermediate sprint we had a nice gap. The guys from INEOS Grenadiers were very keen to ride full on with that group. Ganna is really a machine, and he was there too. I then decided to ride full speed with them too", said Cort in the post race interview.
The Elite group of 6 riders consisting in Rui Costa (Intermarché-Circus-Wanty), Thomas Pidcock (INEOS-Grenadiers) ,Valentin Madouas and the aforementioned Magnus Cort Nielsen, Filippo Ganna and Tobias Foss took advantage of the surprise effect and cooperated very well along the last part of stage.
'Only if I started early did I still have a chance of winning the stage. I had to hope that starting early would cause confusion for the other guys.", Magnus Cort Nielsen concluded.
