Lorena Wiebes has taken overall victory at RideLondon Classique 2024 and in some style too, making it a hat-trick of stage wins in the iconic London setting of The Mall.
Although the duo of Kaja Rysz and Scarlett Souren attacked clear of the peloton with just over 40km to go, their likelihood of denying a sprint finish was never very high. As such, with 22km still to go, their attack was ended and the peloton regained control at the front of the race.
As they arrived on The Mall for the final time, Lotte Kopecky launched Lorena Wiebes and for the third day running, the Team SD Worx - Protime star took a comfortable win ahead of Charlotte Kool.
